To put it simply: Our purpose is to (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>fear God<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cThe chief end of man is to glorify God and to worship Him forever.\u201d (Westminster Shorter Catechism)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>II.\u00a0\u00a0 LIFE HAS LESSONS (SO LISTEN) \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Lessons we learned from Ecclesiastes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#1- There is (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>nothing new under the sun<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#2- Chasing wisdom and pleasure is (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>empty<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#3- Being a workaholic and thinking that will fulfill you, or chasing debauchery and thinking that is the answer, will leave you (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>high and dry<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#4- Thinking we have all the time in the world or can turn back the hands of time is an (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>empty <\/strong><strong><span>pursui<\/span>t<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#5- Don\u2019t get wrapped up in fighting injustice, tyranny, and rivalry so much that you lose sight of (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>contentment and companionship<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#6- Spend your life (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>pursuing God and honoring Him<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#7- There is a (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>God-shaped hole<\/strong><\/span>) in each one of us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#8- How we expend our lives while on earth and the choices we make, determine what (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>death brings us<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#9- Planning is okay and good but plan with wisdom and (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>eternity<\/strong><\/span>) in mind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#10- (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Worry<\/strong><\/span>) can destroy us or (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>faith<\/strong><\/span>) can lead us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#11- It is (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>never too late<\/strong><\/span>) to follow Jesus but it is better to do it when we are young.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#12- Learn from life.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>III.\u00a0 LIFE HAS A FUTURE (SO PLAN WELL)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Theme: Life on the Edge \/ Series: Eyes Wide Open<\/p>\n<p>Title: Eyes of Compassion- Mark 1:40-45; Luke 5:12-16<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2021 THEME: Life on the Edge Series: Life Matters TITLE: Is That All There Is?
