TITLE: Security for Unsure Times
Scripture: Romans 8: 31-39
I. GOD IS FOR US
“If God is for us” is actually “(Because) God is for us.”
“The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?” Ps.27:1
II. GOD DEFENDS US
When the enemy of our souls takes shots at us, God defends us. He is the One who (justifies) us.
When people are condemning us, He is the One who is (interceding) for us.
III. GOD BATTLES FOR US
Tribulation- (Being squeezed) or under pressure
Distress- (Strict confinement), helplessly hemmed in
Persecution- (Affliction)
Famine- Result of persecution. (Denied food)
Nakedness- (Destitution)
Danger- (Peril), exposed to danger
Sword- (Death)
In all of these, or in spite of these, Paul concludes two things:
1) We are (more than conquerors)
2) Nothing (will separate us).
