Short Bio: | Christ-follower. Husband. Father. Grandfather. Pastor. Cyclist. Jigsaw puzzle-maker. Rock music lover. |
Longer Bio: | Been following Jesus for so many years I’ve lost count. 🙂
Married to college sweetheart (Jo) since June 16, 1973. Father of two adult daughters (Tami & Janna). Grandfather to the best grandson ever: Braden (Janna).
Pastor of Owen Valley Christian Fellowship in Spencer, IN since 11/2005. It is the best place I have ever been and am excited to see what God is going to do.
Road cyclist (Trek). I rode so many years without recording miles I can’t tell you how many I have ridden. I aim for at least 2000 a season. I find myself working 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles when it’s too cold to get outside. I almost always have music on (except when I study) and prefer classic rock, arena rock and prog rock. (Anything but rap, R & B, country and opera) DeGarmo & Key and Stryper are at the top of my list. I’m also a child of ‘60s music so I listen to Tommy James & the Shondells and Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. I do listen to some worship music (Tomlin, CityAlight, I Am They and various others). Trivia buffs take note: #1 song-Crystal Blue Persuasion. #2-Long Distance Runner (D&K). #3-Can’t Take My Eyes Off You. Life changed drastically when a hit-n-run driver hit me while on my bicycle in November 2016. I am now an advocate for 3 Feet Please, an organization dedicated to saving cyclist’s lives and working to have states pass a 3 Feet law (distance between car and cyclist when they pass). In February of 2017 I had a violent bike wreck which broke my collarbone, 3 ribs, split my helmet in 3 places, left lots of facial skin on the pavement and woke me up spiritually.
Back to the Future is my favorite movie of all time. (That’s a trivia question you should know). In my spare time I also lift weights. I have been blogging at billgrandi.com since February of 2008. I added Living in the Shadow in January of 2019 which is a daily devotional blog I write. |
