They were not implying but stating unequivocally that Jesus’ miracle came from (the pit of hell).
The purpose of the Enemy is (enslave) people not (free) them.
The strongman is the (enemy). He lays claim to a person’s life but when someone stronger comes along, he loses (control).
II. KNOWING OUR STRATEGY
Several lessons come from verses 24-26:
- Unclean spirits prefer to inhabit (human bodies) rather than wander aimlessly.
- A life that is clean but without Christ is still (helpless) against the Adversary.
- A subsequent demonic encounter can be (worse) than the original one.
If you take away something, you better (fill it) with something worthwhile.
We can’t trifle with demons. What is our strategy?
- We need to (know our enemy).
- We need the (armor of God).
- We need (salvation).
