I. FACING THE CHALLENGE
“I saw Him, and I sought Him, and I had Him, and I wanted Him.” Hudson Taylor
What is the challenge? Have a (desire for God). It is having a (passion) for Him.
Psalm 42:1-2- “As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for the living God.”
Psalm 63:1- “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”
II. FULFILLING THE CHALLENGE
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be satisfied.” Mt.5:6
How do we face this challenge?
1. There has to be a hunger within us for a (deeper walk).
2. A (lack of hunger) stands behind our failure to grow.
What are some practical things we can do to make this happen?
1) Make a commitment to spend time (in the Bible).
2) Make a commitment to worship with a (whole heart).
3) Make a commitment to (prayer).
4) Make a commitment to pass the (ultimate test). Pr.8:13: “To fear the Lord is to hate evil.”
