WinterJam 2020

WINTER JAM 2020:  Roots Youth Group

WHEN:  Saturday, January 18th from 1 pm-11 pm

WHERE:  Banker’s Life Fieldhouse, Indy ( Meet @ OVCF 1pm; Return 11 pm)

DETAILS:  Worship & Christian Music + Speakers @ BLF in Indy.  Cost is $15 for concert, plus $15 for dinner [total cost:  $30] plus any extra for merch!

January Mission Focus: Goody bags for Liberia

goodiebagliberiabag2January Mission focus:  Revive Liberia~Goody bags for children and teens in Liberia.

We are collecting goody bags for the children/teens in Liberia.  Phil and Karen Eckart will deliver them on their next trip.  Lists of needed items are at the info table.  Bags are also available for you to pack your items in! You may bring them to OVCF throughout the month of January.  There are also carvings available to purchase if you’d like to support one of the local men.

December FYI

  •  The Giving Tree:  The Giving Tree is here!  Tags are available.  Names will remain anonymous for the privacy of the families.  Gifts are due by Dec. 15th.  Please contact the church office or see Diana Markland if you have any questions.
  •  OVCF Christmas at Abram Farm (next door) will be on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 10 AM.  Sign up sheet is at the info table.  We’ll need help with set up/clean up and parking/shuttling to and from Abram Farm!  Questions?  See Pastor Bill-set up/clean up, Pastor Ryan-parking/shuttling.  You may also call-numbers are inside the bulletin, below the calendar!
  • We will serve & deliver Christmas breakfast at the Lion’s Club on Dec. 25 from 7-9 AM. Please call the church office (# above) to request meal delivery. Sign up sheets are available. Please sign up where you’d like to serve, by helping at the Lion’s club, with deliveries or providing/preparing food. Questions, please contact Cassie Lehmann or Pastor Bill.
  • We will also assemble food care packages to give away with our deliveries! We are asking for specific items to do 30 bags of food. Please see the list at the info table. You are welcome to specify buying certain items or to fill a bag for a family. If you have questions, please see Diana Markland. Food needs to be returned to OVCF by Sunday 12/22 for assembly!

Dare 2 Share

 

Dare 2 Share – – – Saturday, Oct. 12

D2S is a nation-wide event that trains and equips teens to share their faith and then challenges them to that task. In fact, we will spend part of that day serving in local ministries!

D2S is open to all middle and high school students.

The only cost is for your meals!

Stepping Up – Men’s Bible Study

Beginning Sept. 23-Pastor Bill will lead a Men’s Bible Study:

STEPPING UP:  A CALL TO COURAGEOUS MANHOOD  based on the book by Dennis Rainey
