Text: Job 1:1-2:10
I. THE BATTLE LINES ARE DRAWN
This truth: Life’s storms may hit the most (unexpected people).
What we know about Job:
1. He was a man of (impeccable character).
2. He was a (person of means).
3. He had a vigorous and authentic (spiritual life).
II. THE BATTLE’S LESSONS ARE LEARNED
Ephesians 6:12- “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
God’s purpose is to (magnify His glory); Satan’s purpose is to defame God and to (deface His glory). God’s purpose is to (magnify His worth and glory) in and through His people. We bear the name the reputation of our God, not only before the world but before those who are not seen.

1. Suffering is (part and parcel) of life.
2. Suffering falls under the sweep of (God’s sovereignty).
3. Suffering is not (discriminatory).
4. Suffering is a (mystery).
